But it’s worth taking the five minutes required to swap them out. This simple-seeming modification makes the T20 sound awesome in different ways. The treble filter imparts a crisp but natural timbre to vocals and brass especially, while the bass filter provides an unmistakable kick without coming across as boomy. Just remember that, as with all earbuds, the T20 needs to sit snug in your ear, blocking out as much ambient noise as possible, if you want to appreciate all of the nuance. The T20 includes 10 eartips of various sizes—including foam and silicone—so you can get the fit just so. I heard the most detail using the double-flange silicone tips.
